RXO washing-machine installation water damage — Houston, TX
Houston · December 2, 2025
Katie ordered a washing machine - and it was RXO that delivered it. She has a three story home and they needed to be installed on the third floor. RXO decided to send two subcontractors for the install. This happened in February 2025.
According to Katie a pipe inside the wall behind the washer and dryer developed a leak during the installation and caused over $300k worth of damage to her home. She contacted RXO - who directed her towards the local installers they subcontracted. Because RXO subcontracted two installers, each pointed the finger at the other.
Katie's home is unlivable and she is currently residing outside the home while it is being repaired. This is as of 12/1/2025.
Katie described the steps she has taken to be made whole - and they are similar to mine. She played by the rules that RXO set forth only to find that she was being delayed and led on. She hired an attorney who sent a demand letter to them recently, and says that RXO is ignoring her and her attorney. They are doing the same thing to me as of the writing of this. I advised her that the only way to get them to respond is to file a lawsuit and while she's at it file with her State's AG so they can start determining patterns. I'll let you know how this goes as I'm updated.
