I was never sure what Aarons role was, and it was never explained well to me. His spiel was to tell me he was hired by Costco to make sure the claims process was going smoothly, however I can’t recall a single thing he ever did. The only thing about Aaron worth mentioning is that he is a licensed adjuster and he gave me some advise on what I should be doing early on in the process - and I did those things. Now RXO says that I shouldn’t have done those things.

Costco is the retailer I bought this refrigerator from. While Costco didn’t do the installation, they did hire the company that did the installation. When something went wrong, Costco washed their hands of it and claimed it wasn’t their issue and that they will do absolutely nothing for me - except profit.

Ron is the CEO of Costco. I emailed Ron twice. Some vague promises were made and weren't kept.

Tony is the VP of Costco Logistics. My email to Ron Vachris was passed on to Tony to handle. Tony called me and spoke apologetically and made a promise to keep in touch with me weekly. He did not. His emails and calls were full of unkept promises.

Brandon is from the local RXO office. He came to my house on 12/3 to view the damage and the cause of the damage and said that it was the installers fault and that they would be paying. He was unaware at this time that the installer they sent was uninsured.

Christopher is the claims examiner for Sedgwick, hired by RXO. He is the main guy that tells RXO what he thinks the claim is worth. I spoke to him a few times. He refused to reply to my 12/19/24 email asking for direction so I had to hire a public adjuster because of this guy.

EFI Global is an environmental assessment company that is used by insurance companies. One would think that independent companies should be used to eliminate conflicts of interest, but no. EFI Global is owned by Sedgwick - the company hired by RXO to minimize my damage and pay me bottom dollar.

Jake is the representative from Sedgwick that came out to my home to view it on 12/12/2024 - 10 days after the damage and after the area was cleaned by a mitigation company. Jake downplayed my damage from the beginning, treated me as if I was somehow in the wrong, and offered absolutely no guidance or advice on what I should do next. Jake also insisted to increase my costs by asking the moving company to put everything on display for him to view my personal property for damage. Despite seeing the damage in person with us and agreeing that something was damaged he did not get it translated to the person with the purse. My personal opinion is that this guy was not honest or trustworthy - a company man. Jake told me when he visited that my home was habitable despite me being told by an independent third party environmental testing company that it wasn’t. Jake turned down my offer to lease an apartment for several months to save RXO tens of thousands of dollars on rent vs getting an AirBNB nightly.

Javier owns the company that did the installation locally. He is uninsured. He also owns ProClean Softwash Solutions in Jacksonville FL.

While she seems to be involved in all emails, Leslie had very few conversations with me. She admitted in writing that their installer was uninsured.

Paul reached out to me the day after the incident and explained to me that I would be working with the third party they hired in order to resolve the claim. He later contacted me to tell me that the third party they hired were actually uninsured and that RXO would be taking the cost upon themselves.

RXO is part of XPO. They are a large logistics company who in this case was hired by Costco to have their network of installers install their appliances. They use uninsured installers, and when something goes wrong they will absolutely treat you poorly and minimize your losses to boost their profits.

Sedgwick is a third party administrator for claims that is hired by insurance companies or at fault companies to minimize their losses. A normal person like you or I cannot hire them. They have loyalty only to the person hiring them, at the expense of the person who sustained damages. Companies like Sedgwick are why so many people hate insurance companies - they exist to minimize your loss and maximize a corporations profits.

Luce Air Quality is a local, independent, environmental testing company that was used to determine the extent of damage in my home and devise a mold remediation protocol. If you are in need of their services I would highly recommend this local, family owned business.

River City Claims is a local public adjuster firm that assist people like myself who find themselves in over their head on losses and managing those losses. Their team have spent hundreds of hours on this claim to help me. I highly recommend them if you’re local.
